I did not expect this video to reach a million views at all 😱 I threw it together on iMovie (actually now that I think about it, it was Movie Maker) 7 years ago with little to no knowledge of how to edit at all. I’m so glad to see that people still return to this song after many years since it was first released, it’s very beautiful and deserves all the attention and praise it receives! After all these years, it’s still my favourite anime song indeed, and it still moves me the way it did when I first heard it as a kid. I’ve been returning here time and time again to read all your comments, and the amount of lovely comments under this video is so heartwarming. Honda Minako may not be here with us anymore, but her voice will forever live on in this song🙏 She’d be happy to know that her voice brought so many people joy. It also brought us all together here for this video, and I’m very thankful for that ☺️

親というか保護者というか、家族愛の切ない部分をEDテーマにチョイスするセンスよ。この曲はぶっちぎり平成なんだが、ある種の昭和的な側面があり、今のアニメには無い要素。やっぱり99年版ハンターハンターの雰囲気は最高だな。

この曲の後半のロングトーンとか凄すぎる
日テレ版ハンターハンターは大人が考える子供向けアニメって感じ。大人が思うほど子供というのは幼くはない。リアルタイムでこの曲を小学生のときに聴いたとき、本当にお気に入りだった。幻影旅団編の暗い雰囲気も当時の自分達小学生は楽しんでいたな。
まあ今のハンターは大人が読んでも挫折しそうですがね(笑)

コミックはあの当時から読んでた人間がみんな大人になってるから全く問題ない
日テレ版も好きだけどこれはめっっっちゃわかる!!!!旧ハンター見た時私も小学生だったけど、あの雰囲気でちゃんと好きだったしちゃんと楽しんでた。仮に大人が考えているように子どもが本気で理解できないとして、それだったら原作のストーリーの時点で無理なんだからそこは諦めて欲しかったなあていつも思う笑。
旅団編は鬱っぽいけどそれがまた良い
旧版アニメはまじで作画もBGMも神だった
新版も全部見たけど、ハンターの世界を高解像度で表してるのは旧

アニメも全体的に暗かったし、ＥＤでこの曲が流れると本編の残酷さを包み込むような
優しさ、寂しさ、物悲しさでゾッとしたなあ
この時代の美奈子さんにあったことがゆめのよう。自分に大丈夫？と優しく声をかけてくれた美奈子さん。今でも鮮明に覚えてます。演奏した時の嬉しそうな笑顔も。今でも私の憧れの女性です。決して色褪せない。

この曲を初めて聴いたとき、とても穏やかで自分自身に平安を感じました。この曲がもたらすこの雰囲気が正直好きで、時々、今よりも幸せだった当時のことを思い出します。

初期の全盛期のEDですね。間違いなくハンタが最高の作品だった時期。
Miss this song since I 1st heard it from HxH 1999 version. She lived a good life while fighting Leukemia that killed her in 2005. She fought a full year since she was diagnosed in 2004. RIP !

土曜の夕方はゾイド見て、HUNTER × HUNTERを見て筋肉番付を見て、それで土曜ロードショー見ながら途中で寝る。親父が何度か起こすんだけど頑なに起きないでいると抱っこしてくれてそのままベッドまで運んでくれたな。
当時はネットなんてなかったしテレビ番組が全ての時代だったな。良い時代だった

この「風のうた」が発表されてもう、20年も経とうとしているのはともかく、本田美奈子さんが白血病で亡くなられてから、10年以上の年月が流れましたね。
けれど、彼女のこの美しく、そして、透き通っているような神秘的な歌声は、各種音源、それから、私たちの心の中に長く生き続け、更に、これからもずっと、世界中の多くの方々の心を魅了していく事でしょうね。

I love how in 1999 the anime didn't forget Mito. Ending tell us how much Mito misses Gon, but at the same time hoping the best for her "son". The feel isn't the same in 2011 version.

@@localtribe2851 It's the best arc ever, man. Togashi did well playing around with his writing skill. Subverted audience's expectation, create depth and develope quite many characters including supporting ones. It's also a great gateway for the dark continent arc. I seriously get hyped, imagine, the ants are rather weak compared to other creatures there. But look at the destruction they caused.
It reminds me of the Arabic opening of HxH on spacetoon 😭 how beautiful these memories are
